Welcome back to the second issue of the Electric Grapevine! I'm sure all you little Adrenaline Junkies out there have been wondering where I've been over the past week. After running through Rama Garcia in Little Rock I was foaming at the mouth for more action, but I got a text message from my agent a day later telling me that I hadn't been booked to appear on the next card. I was let down, but I'm the new guy and I realized there are a lot of superstars on the roster who are all chomping at the bit to get in the ring and settle some scores. So, I decided to head back to San Dimas so I could train at my own gym, crap in my own toilet, and sleep in my own bed for a week while I wait on a call to let me know who I've got to get ready for next.
I just got a chance to check out this month's edition of the ICWF magazine and I want to spend the next few minutes talking a little bit about that. First, it looks like the hurting I put on Rama Garcia a week ago just might have pushed the little fella over the edge and he might be parting ways with the company citing ''differences with the creative team''. You're not fooling anyone, Garcia. At one time you had the lightweight division in the palm of your hand, but those days are long gone, amigo, and everyone seems to know it except you. Before the bell rang, when you stood across the ring from me, you were looking at the new face of the Lightweight Division and what went down at Rumble was nothing more than a changing of the guard. You couldn't beat Stryker to recapture your strap, and then a few weeks later you were dismantled by "the new guy". So, I guess when you really take a step back and look at the situation, you'd be a smart man to walk away from the business while you still have what's left of your health and dignity. I'm sure a guy like you would be able to find a job doing manual labor easily. Hasta la vista, Rama.
Another thing that I couldn't help but notice in the magazine was the complete absence of any mention of yours truly. Now, I can understand not cracking the top ten, even after two impressive victories. The guys on the list have tremendous talent, no doubt. But I've made it a personal goal to see my name on that list next month and I don't make it a habit of letting myself down. I'm ready for whatever Vince Grimm and the rest of the Board want to throw at me. I'm not scared of any of these costumed crazies running around back stage and I won't back down from any fight on any single night. Hopefully the boys in the front office will get my message.
The last thing that bothered me about the Magazine was the fact that my name didn't come up in any of the recaps. There wasn't anything about my debut match and not a word about my bout with Garcia. I don't mean to brag, but I was sure that I put on a pretty good show in both outings. But, apparently the ICWF Magazine editors didn't see it that way so there is only one way to fix that and that's to go out next time and give them something to talk about at ICWF headquarters before they put the next issue out to press. So, sorry in advance to whoever has the misfortune of drawing me as their next opponent because I plan on making you an example. Nothing personal, but I didn't come to this company just to draw a paycheck.
That will do it for this edition of The Electric Grapevine, but I'll be seeing you guys again soon, hopefully in front of cameras though. Also, be on the lookout for a Podcast coming from me sometime in the future! See ya later, Space Cowboys!
