Volume 3

Like the song I am “on the road again”, making my way down to Lexington, KY for this Sunday’s Rumble! I stayed in Nashville for a few days after last Sunday’s event to visit with a couple of friends and recuperate from the match I dropped to Jack Deon before heading towards Lexington. Even though I didn’t pick up the victory, I can’t say that the night was a total waste. I had openings, I just didn’t capitalize on them and I didn’t stick to the game plan. I let Deon set the tempo and that didn’t quite work out for me. That loss definitely brought me back down to Earth a little bit, but I can tell you that Jack Deon hasn’t seen the last of me either. I know I can get the best of him, and in the opening minutes of our match-up last Sunday night I could see it in his eyes that HE knew I could beat him! But I slipped up, made a few mistakes, and before I knew it I was on the wrong end of the three count. I can guarantee that things will go differently the next time we meet, Jack.

But, this is a new week and there’s no use wasting time on old news! So let’s get straight to the action and talk a little bit about what I’ve got coming up this week! I got the notice yesterday that I’ll be fighting a guy that I have a ton of respect and admiration for, Christian Stryker! He’s one of the greatest Lightweight superstars of all time and he’s most definitely earned that championship strap! Yes, he’s truly one of the best around the company and it’s not going to be any easy task putting Stryker down, but I am definitely up for the challenge! You don’t have to worry about whether or not I am ready, Christian. I am always ready. I’d step in to the ring tonight if I could! After last week’s loss I am chomping at the bit to get in there and get this train back on the tracks, so maybe you should ask yourself if you are ready for me! You’ve got your sights set high on Gene Williams’ Hardcore title belt, but don’t go overlooking what is in front of you, Christian. While you’re chasing Gene Williams, Azazel, and Crow for their straps, people like me are eyeing your Lightweight Championship belt. I’ve said it before, I didn’t come here just to collect a paycheck. I just bought a new pair of boots and I really think that gold belt would go perfectly with them.

You say that you don’t like the cameras, that all you want to do is wrestle? I can dig that. You say you are the personification of high-flying? Well, high-flying must be having some identity issues, because I could swear that I was the personification of high-flying, not you. You say that you are the King of Extreme? I’m about to stage a coup. Christian, I have no doubt that you and I will give the fans in Kentucky a show to remember. I just hope that you’re content to play second fiddle to me.
